Tryouts for the 2017 Spring / Summer Season

 

12U:

 

When:            Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Pitchers and Catchers will stay until 12:30pm

Where:          Redwood High School Varsity Softball Field

 

14U:

When:            Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

Pitchers and Catchers will stay until 3:00pm

Where:          Redwood High School Varsity Softball Field

 

16U:

 

When:            Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.

Pitchers and Catchers will stay until 5:00pm

Where:          Redwood High School Varsity Softball Field

 

*Register and check-in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tryout time. 

*Please stretch and be ready to start throwing at the start time.

 

What to expect for Spring / Summer 2017:

  • 12U plans to play in about 5 Spring tournaments (February – May). Most will be within about an hour drive of Marin. We will also play about 5 or 6 summer tournaments (June – August). Some will be within an hour drive of Marin; others will require an overnight stay.

 

  • 14U plans to play in about 6 Spring tournaments (February – May). Most will be within about an hour drive of Marin. We will also play about 6 to 8 summer tournaments (June – August). Some will be within an hour drive of Marin; others will require an overnight stay.

 

  • 16U will play in 3-4 tournaments and/or showcases before the high school season starts. From February – May we will only practice on Sundays. During the summer, we will play in 6 to 8 tournaments and/or showcases.  About half will be within about an hour drive of Marin and half will require an overnight stay.  Some will require out-of-state travel.

The Marin Blue Angels, based in Marin County, California, has fielded Class-A fastpitch softball teams since 1985.  Through the great game of softball we strive to teach all of our players character, leadership, responsibility and personal accountability.  Blue Angels emphasizes the value of fundamental hard work, self-discipline, loyalty, teamwork and sportsmanship, as well as having fun! We have successfully prepared young women to excel at softball at the high school and collegiate levels for over 30 years.
