The Marin Blue Angels are pleased to announce that veteran coach Mike Wills has been named the head coach of one of the organization’s 14u teams. Wills, who has previously coached Blue Angels 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u Gold teams, has over 35 years of softball and baseball coaching experience. He has worked with professional baseball teams and players as a hitting coach and is currently the hitting instructor for Twin Cities Girls Softball and Tiburon Girls Softball. A former head softball coach for Tamalpais High School, with a .791 winning percentage, Wills knows what it takes to succeed at the next level. “I’m so excited to get started with this team!” said Wills. “We’re going to have a team full of softball players. Not girls that play softball.”

“I am thrilled to have Coach Wills back with the Blue Angels,” said Steve Lightfoot, Marin Blue Angels president and head coach of the organization’s other 14u team. “He has a wealth of experience and a positive, winning attitude.”

In addition to being the head coach of one of the 14u teams, Wills will also serve as the Marin Blue Angels lead hitting instructor.
