The Blue Angels are busy planning for the
summer of 2010 season. We will
sponsor a 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U/18U team. Our
coaching staffs include the Tamalpais HS, Redwood HS and Marin Academy HS
varsity head coaches as well as a number of female college and college graduate
players. Our other Blue Angel
coaches have several years of successful coaching experience at the highest
level.
We typically play a 6-7 tournament schedule.
Our younger teams play more locally while the older teams travel more to
compete at higher levels.
Tryouts for the 14U & 16U teams will be held
December 6th from 2:00-5:00 at the
Marin Blue Angels strives to be the best.
However, we recognize the range of needs and skills of summer players. A
program priority for the organization is to find a place for all girls to play,
whether as a Blue Angel or in collaboration with the Marin Girls Softball
recreation league summer “B” team program.
We invite all interested families to
participate. Please call one of the
Board Members listed on this website if you have any questions.

2009 Team Highlights
The 16U team, led by Carter Njus, played in
local tournaments and made very respectable showings in every venue played.
The addition of new assistant coaches Sarah Sherburne and Ali Davis,
currently both college players, made the experience a memorable one for all of
the players on the team.
Our 16U team led by 7 year coach Tom Boyer
played a very competitive schedule. In
addition to local tournaments they played in 2 Stockton showcase tournaments as
well as the Colorado Sparkler Showcase and Huntington Beach Showcase.
The team had a 20-13-1 record against some the best teams in California
and beyond. In their 13 losses, nine
of them were by one run. They won
the Petaluma Steel Breeze tournament and finished 12th in a field of
150 teams in Colorado. This Blue
Angels team could compete with anyone.
